Meet The Team
Dan originates from the state of Iowa, where he worked in campus ministry for 13 years before making the switch to local church ministry. He has been at Fir Road since 2010. He is joined in ministry by his wife, Holly. They met in Taiwan at “The Home of God’s Love” while Dan was on a mission trip in college. Holly is a Diabetic Nurse Specialist at Freeman Hospital in Joplin. They have two children, Caleb and Olivia. Caleb is an engineer for John Deere in Des Moines, IA and a part time youth minister. Olivia is an ICU nurse in Rogers, Arkansas. In his spare time, Dan enjoys fishing, hunting, and rooting for his favorite sports teams (Go Cubs, Cowboys, and the Iowa State Cyclones!)
Katie has been a part of the Fir Road staff since August 2015. She grew up in O’Fallon, Illinois, as the oldest of four kids. From an early age, she helped her mother with Children’s Ministry at their home church and slowly developed her passion for working with kids. Katie graduated from Lincoln Christian University in 2015 with a degree in Intercultural Studies/Children & Youth Ministry. She has ministered to children in several different parts of the world. In her spare time, she loves to read books, go camping, and work on DIY projects. Katie loves working alongside the families at Fir Road to help their children come to know Jesus!
Chris is a Junior at Ozark Christian College, studying to get a degree in music and worship as well as a minor in Creative Arts Ministry. Chris is a huge fan of listening to almost any genre, whether it is edm, rap, jazz, some classical, rock, or indie rock. Chris also enjoys working with wood and reshaping it into cool furniture.
Sarah grew up in Roswell, New Mexico and from a young age, fell in love with the cultural diversity in the South West. She is studying Intercultural Studies and New Testament Theology at Ozark Christian College . Sarah is married to her wonderful husband, Ben, and they are in the process of becoming Bible translators in South East Asia. In her free time, Sarah enjoys teaching ESL classes, baking, and making friends will international students at MSSU.
Jordan came on staff at Fir Road in January 2016. Originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jordan attended Ozark Christian College in Joplin and graduated with a degree in Student Ministry. He is married to Janie, another Colorado native, and they both enjoy many outdoor activities – skiing, camping, mountain biking, and kayaking, to name a few. Jordan is a huge Star Wars fan, and he is known to make a pretty mean chocolate chip cookie, too.
